The goddess Mama Qucha is associated with the sea, rivers, lakes, and human-made water sources. She is the guardian of fishermen and sailors and is worshiped to calm rough waters and ensure good fishing. This Mama Qucha’s headdress shows another representation of the flowing nature of water. This one-of-a-kind piece is made from white clay, raku fired, and signed by the artist.
